Monmouth N.J. He also received a letter of commendation from Col. Richard Ci Home in, Signal Corps Commandant, designating him as ail "accelerated graduate". He completed the normal twerrtyefeht week course in twenty - six weeks. On Nov. 1, he will begin a six -week extension course, before his next assignment. Investigated McHenry city police /were called to investigate several minor accidents in recent days. One involved cars driven by Norman Dombeck of Morton Grove and Barbara E. Williams of Anne street, McHenry* bombeck was parked at a curb on Green street. He started to back out and struck the north - bound car of the other driver, causing damage to that vehicle. Albert Bartel of Ingelside was travelling west on Elm street, about to enter the intersection at Riverside drive on a green light. George Katrances of Glenwood drive, McHenry, driving faster than the other car made contact with the right front bumper of the Bartel's car. Linda C. WrublewskiofYoung street, McHenry, was driving west at the intersection of Elm and Front streets. On a green light, she started to make a left turn. At that time, Timothy J. Althoff of Round-up Lane, McHenry, approached Front street. As he proceeded through the intersection, the other auto turned in front of him, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Albert F. Kunz of Hillside drive, McHenry, was passing Angeline Corsello of River >$(hrrace drive, McHenry, .arid. in doing so Scraped the right fender of both vehicles. They Were east-bound on Elm street. ; Marilyn J. Adams of 'Mbple avenue, McHenry, stopped in back of a turning school 'bus and was hit in the rear by an auto driven by Jean E&ger of Sunrise View, also McHenry. Both vehicles were travelling east at Rt. 31, and Bftrdeiv street. Linda Rath of N. Chapel Hill road, McHenry, was parked in the bank parking lot as Jacqueline Petersen of Orchard road* Wonder Lake, was travelling east in the traffic lane. Miss Rath started to back up as the other vehicle drove in back of her and the cars collided. •< Jacqueline J. Crook of Oakwood drive, Wonder Lake, was backing out of a parking lot on Green street and struck the left front fender and door of an auto owned by Gay lord Windross of North avenue, McHenry* Edward Bechen of Elgin was parked in front of 1210 Green street as Gary Canady of Sunset drive, McHenry, drove in back of him. As Bechen backed from the curb, he struck the right side of the other vehicle. LOUIS STTOECK A funeral Mass was offered Thursday morning at 10 o' - clock in St. John the Baptist Catholic church for Louis Stibeck, 74, of 1011 Althoff drive in McHenry, who was pronounced dead on arrival at McHenry hospital Tuesday, Oct. 29. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery, River Grove. Mr. Stibeck was born on Sept. 13, 1894 in Germany. He was a butcher by trade. Survivors are his widow, Maffce Barisch Stibeck, whom he married fifty - two years ago; a son, Raymond, of McHenry; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Eric (Annette) Kempcke of McHenry and a brother and sister in Germany. . The body rested at the George R. Justen and Son chapel until the time of last rites. JOSEPHA TEMPEL Josepha Tempel, 75, mother of Mrs. Timothy (Lois) Mc- Cormack of McHenry, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the age of 75. Her husband, Martin, preceded her in death. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Oliva) Halvey of Chicago and Mrs. McCormack; seven grandchildren and four great - grandchildren. The body rested at the Goglin chapel, 5935 W. Belmont avenue, Services will be conducted at 11 o'clock from St. Ferdinand's church, with burial in Queen of Heaven cemetery. FELIX PYNSKY Felix Pynsky, brotherin- law of Mrs. Fred J. Street of 4519 W. Shore drive, McHenry, died in Holy Family hospital, Niles, Sunday, Oct* 27. Mr. and Mrs. Pynsky, residents df '3465 pynsky drive, Northbrook, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last July 20* Mr. Pynsky became ill five weeks ago, when he was hospitalized.
