She was radiant in a traditional, style, floor length wedding gQwn of chantilly lace and or- ' KfiP28- gjn a 2:30 o'clock nuptial rite Miss Freund, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence G. Freund, was married to Mr. Gerald J. Miller, Jr., son of the senior Millers of 4214 W. Crystal Lake road. The bride's dress was fashioned with scalloped neckline, natural waist and long sleeves of ,lace. The skirt cconsisted of tiers of organza edged in lace and falling to a full chapel train in back. Sequins trimmed the neckline and edge of the ruffles. Her headpiece was of petals of lace, edged in pearls. Loops of crys- . tal beads formed a half crown and her veil of illusion was bouffant style. Mrs. Nancy Huecksteadt, of Chicago acted as her matron of honor, Miss Janet Miller of McHenry, sister of the groom was maid of honor and Miss Lee Ann Freund, the bride's sister, was junior bridesmaid, i. The older attendants were attired in floor length, georgette dresses in rose color, styled with empire waist and ruffles of the same material trimming the high neck and edge of the full, puff sleeves. They wore georgette roses in matching color on their heads, to which butterfly veils were attached. Hie junior bridesmaid wore the same style dress in rosy pink. James Morris of McCullom Lake served as best man and groomsmen were Charles Huecksteadt, Jr., of Chicago, and Paul Miller, brother of the groom, Randy Miller, another brother, and Keith Hunt, cousin of the bride, were ushers, b Mrs. Freund selected for her daughter's wedding a poudre blue crepe dress with matching chiffon over - dress trimmed with rrarabou.She had a white orchid corsage. Mrs. Miller wore an aqua blue dress with matching lace coat and accessories and a white orchid corsage. UAreception followed the ceiWnonysat! the MfiHeriry VFW clubhouse, attended by 200 friends and relatives. Carol Hunt sister of the groom, of McHenry was in charge of the guest book. The new Mrs. Miller travelled in an autumn harvest coat ensemble with beige accessories. Following their return from Tennessee, they will reside in Grayslake. ^ The bride and groom are 2~both McHenry high school graduates. She is employed at the First National Bank of Barrington and he at the Jewel Co., Inc., in Mundelein. ' Among guests attending were the couple's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nick B. Freund, Mrs. Joseph Miller, and Mrs. Edward J. Pfannenstill, all of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. BillMoore, Harvard; Rev. and Mrs. Tom Johnson, Crystal Lake; and Mr. and Mrs. Walt Meyer, of McHenry had an enjoyable time eating and socializing in a local restaurant in Lake Geneva, last Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Joe E. Freund and family, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wirtz and Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Wirtz were in Elgin Sunday where they saw Jeffry Wirtz receive his First Communion at St. Mary's church and later attended a gathering in his honor at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wirtz. ^ Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bauer of Tulsa, Okla., accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John McCann of Checotah, Oklahoma, were guests in the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bauer, a few days last Week. Mr. and Mrs. William F. Doherty were weekend visitors in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Peter Weingart, in Arlington Heights. Mr. and Mrs. Fred/Schoewer spent a few days last week in the Ben Schoewer home in Rockford and on Sunday were in Buffalo Grove to attend a reception for Mr. Schoewer's grand-nephew, Charles Kelly, and his bride in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kelly. Lt. J/G Roger Thompson was home from Lemorre, Calif., for a weekend visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thompson. Mrs. Alfons Adams accompanied her sister, Mrs. Kenneth Murray, and husband of Mundelein on a trip last week in which they visited their niece, Mrs. Edward Odonn and family in Bedford, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. George Hafner in Olmstead Falls, Ohio, and also made over - night stops at Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, and Richmond, Ind. DRIVER HITS STEER A pick-up truck driven by William Kearns of Sumac drive in Wonder Lake, struck a Black Angus steer Monday night on Johnsburg road, Kearns escaped injury. He told deputies he was travelling west and he went over the crest of a hill and the steer rah down an embankment into the road. He was unable to avoid striking the animal.
