Oiily thirteen boys and six paredts and assorted brothers and sjsters were on hand to enjoy the festivities. Games, prizes and refreshments and fun Wiethe order of the day. John Meurer received his Webelos ribbons and John Bierman received two silver arrows. Bobcat pins were awarded to Doug Viita, Dennis Gibson, Michael Burmanh $nd Michael Felmeten. This meeting was indicativeof the general feeling towards ttye Cub Pack and because of this the Christmas Party Was the fcst official function of Pack 459. A pack can't be considered healthy when such a small portion of its members participate in what . V £ . - if f's\ ^ { .i > >i f •> '\?4jcsw\ n* ; should beaterrific drawing card for a meeting. Any of the boys who are interested inremainihg in Cub Scouting cowd probably be absorbed into one of the other packs which meets in town. A den could be formed out here with our own den mother so that the boys could continue on, but this has to be taken care of by these boys and their parents. Too bad, but these things do happen when the greater number of parents expect a few to do their duty. Even so this doesn't have to be the end fpr this pack as it can be revived till the time the charter expires if enough interested parents will step forward to give their share of time and effort to their soins. LITTLE .LEAGUE There will be no meeting of the Little Leaguei organization during December. Plans are being made for the annual roller skating party held each year by the group. Tickets will be available after the January meeting for the affair which will be held on Feb. 12. They are priced so that the whole family can go, and many do. Mark the date and see one of the managers or officers for your ticket later. BOWLING The results will be available for next week's column. Not enough time this week. The worlds fastest self-cleaning ovens. A new gas self-cleaning oven can get the messiest jobs done in half the time it takes the electric kind. And with gas, you can shorten the cleaning cycle even more if an oven isn't soiled enough to require the full treatment. But the best part about a new self-cleaning oven is the way it's packaged--inside a new gas range. Because only a gas rahge gives you precision-controlled top-of-stove cooking. Or gas infrared broiling units--the kind that cook quickly... provide eye-appealing browning, too. Visit your Northern Illinois Gas office or appliance dealer and see why--when ovens come clean-- it's no contest. Gas wins in half the time.
