Congratulations, Joe, and Good 'Luck!' ^" by Bert Hagemann The Warribrs experienced their sixth consecutive loss of this still young season last Saturday night as they bowed to a powerful Mundelein squad by a 61-48 margin. Once again the Warriors experienced a horrendous beginning as their shooting remained chilled and forced them into playing catch-up ball once again. As usual, the defense was adequate, and sometimes very .tenacious, but the orpge, • arid black took a;terfr$ic flrub-: bing on the boards from their bigger opponents, and lack of skill at the charity stripe was evidenced by a 6-17 effort. West Campus Wrestling Arena. ! They performed to- a crowd of . approximately 350, as enthusiasm that has generated for nine years reached a new peak. The orange and black have seven varsity lettermen returning' from a fine 9-5 record of the 1967-68 season. They are Jim Sobacki at 103, Dennis Justenat 112, Guy Hansen at 120, Paul Voight at 127, Larry Cristy at 138, Ken Wahl at 165, and Mike Antonnicelli at 180. These veterans, combined with last years sophomore team that held a 7-1 record, should keep the old spirit running on the mat. Last season the Warriors had one of their most productive records, with a second place in the North Suburban Conference, a District Championship at Barrington, and 6th place at the tough Evanston Sectional with 36 teams competing. ^ Friday night's score was an indication that the wrestlers are not going to withdraw from their winning records. The Junior Varsity also scored a whopping victory 43-15 to balance their record at 2-2.
