A good study lamp needs to carry at least a 150-watt Wb and have properdiffusers. Light should move inward and downward and tiirougfrthe shade, but the source of light should not sho«?. Ihe distance from the top of the desk to the bottom of the shade should measure about 15 Inches. When the user is seated, Ids eyes should be nearly in line with the bottom of the shade. To be effective, pin-up lamps' should be used In pairs with each shade measuring 9 to 10 inches across the bottom. When ydH a single wall lamp, be sure that the lower diameter of the shadg is at least 15 inches and that the shade flares sharply. Bullet, gooseneck and pole lamps n^poremffngliiftts, because they provide only a • narrow spread of light and give little or no upwatf Ughfc Good stndbr ]au£s allow diffusion of ligtt^Hlirecting light both up and down. Diffusion adapters andbowis will increase the amount and softness of light failing onto the work surface. A sm^ high-intensity lamp should not be. used alone for readjtag or study. Use it to add to other lighting when yon need a very high level of light\ Bulletin from spurgeons Final Closeout Thursday, Fri-day and Saturday 'til-4 p.m. S ; turd v.- to « skt i nv wv nust • r c ; i a r u i l s t :r>.- !.or - ic jffif \^r^. r 1 ~ ?
