From the claims of those Cub fans, it would be like printing a tax list. In the meantime, let's hear from more Sox booster. WE ARE SOX FANS -- Petie Schaefer and the whole darn family "Blondie" Oeffling "Jake the Bake" Club Alibi Rickie Jager What became of that super sub, Paul Popovich? Never hear his name mentioned. When Popovich got away in the expansion draft, Durocher finally got him back and said he wouldn't get away again. Must be saving 01' Popo for something. Maybe like the football player at the end of the bench. The coach was saving him for the junior prom. The Cubs really added speed when they acquired Cardenal and Monday. We are really beginning to think they are good enough to play our team in the World Series next fall. McHenry High is coming to the front in tennis competition. It's a great sport for young and old. Warriors Split Twin Bill With Wildcats By Fred Kusch Ken Swanson's team went into extra innings, 11 innings to be precise, to defeat the Libertyville Wildcats by 3-2 margin in the first end of last Saturday's double header. The Wildcats broke into the scoring column in the second frame as Kieny, the Wildcats first baseman, doubled and scored on Sterer's single The Warriors countered in the third inning when Rogers reached on an error, stole second and scored on a single by Miller. R,on then stole second and went to third on a wild pitch and scored on Prazak's single. The 'Cats again countered in the fourth when it was again Kieny who tripled and scored on a sacrifice. The game remained knotted until the eleventh in ning when Wickenkamp walked and eventually scored the winning run. In the second game the tables turned and the Wildcats rubbed out the Orange and Black idea of a twin-bill sweep as they crushed the Warrior machine by a score of 12-0.
