Rooy of 2704 Sterling _ drive, tycHenry, began to tread a familiar path recently as he enlisted in the United States Marine corps - following the footsteps of his father, brother and brother-in-law. Sergeant Dennis M. Roby, Craig's brother, with the help of Sergeant Howard A. Topaz, the Woodstock-stationed Marine recruiter, and the rest of the family Marines, recruited Craig on the delayed enlistment program. Craig's father, Ken Roby, served in the corps during World War II from 1939 through 1947, while Craig's brother-in- law, Robert Carlson served two years, from 1969 to 1971. His brother, Dennis, enlisted in 1969 and just recently re-enlisted for six more years and is stationed at the main recruiting office in Chicago. An older brother, Sergeant Kenneth Roby, is in the United States Air force, stationed at Kirkland Air force base in Albuquerque, N.M. A 1972 graduate of McHenry Community high school, Craig will begin his active duty in February, 1973, at which time he will be sent to Marine Corps Recruit depot, San Diego, Calif,, to undergo recruit training.
