Sunset Drive, the annual general meeting of the Lakeland Park Property Owners Association will be held. Uiis is a very important meeting for all association members to plan to attend. It's your opportunity to cast the vote for the nominees you would like to have represent you on the Board of Directors of the Association. Three board members are to be elected from the following slate of eligible nominees: Incumbent - Mrs. Lyda Radisch, Mrs. Betty Bockman, Elmer A. Boeldt, John G. Gacek and Frederick C. Kupstis. CONSERVATION CLUB NEWS The McCullom Lake Conservation Club met last week lit our community house. For those of you who don't know, the club is comprised of volunteers who are concerned with the condition of our lake all year round, not just during the summer months when we all like to enjoy the benefits of such a beautiful lake. Jerry Raycraft, president of theclub, told me that the day to clean the two inlets at West Shore Beach is May 6. This work will comprise walking the creeks and clearing than of any debris. Anyone interested in helping with this task should phone Mr. Raycraft, 385r7851. The club meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at various community houses around the lake. The next meeting is scheduled for April 18 at the barn of the Polish camp. It is hoped that more residents will plan to attend these meetings to , discuss ideas and help keep McCullom Lake beautiful, year round! DINNER GUESTS Dick and Bev Walinski were entertaining once again when , they served John, Sharon and Jay Gacek a delicious dinner on a recent Monday night. Young Linda Walinski enjoyed playing with Jay while their parents enjoyed themselves with conversation and their evening together. From what I heard, Bev is quite a cook! INDIANA VISITORS Patt and Judy Patterson had special visitors earlier this month who journeyed from Kokomo, Ind. Judy's mom, Emma Bontrager, traveled with Judy's sister and her family, Marilyn and Leonard Mast, and children, Myra and Brian. Judy said they all had a good time visiting especially since almost two years had slipped by since they had been together. They all enjoyed a family dinner at a local restaurant and had a most enjoyable weekend. The Patterson children, Mathew, Mark, Melody and Michelle had a great time with their grandmother and enjoyed playing with their cousins and seeing their aunt and uncle again! ENGAGEMENT NEWS Our congratulations are extended to Christine Sweeney and Kurt Thomas on news of their recent engagement. Though no wedding date has been set yet, the young couple are excited and are on "cloud nine." Christine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sweeney and Kurt's proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thomas of Griswold Lake. Our best wishes to the happy couple! BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! John, Sharon and Jay Gacek enjoyed another full and busy weekend last week. Friday night they joined us for an evening of kids playing together, and when at last they went to sleep, 7 adult conversation! Saturday they drove to West Chicago to visit their friends, Len and Jerry Stutz, and their daughters, and had a fun time. And, on Sunday they entertained guests in their home. Jackie, Danny and Danielle Mydlowski came out for the day along with Sharon's dad, Ed Kurowski, and his wife, Dorothy. Everyone enjoyed the delicious dinner Sharon prepared and the day of visiting. DUAL CELEBRATION Sam and Joan Bucaro had a home full of company last Sunday when their family celebrated two birthdays. Joan's special day was March 20 and ho- grandson, David Parisi, turned five-years-old last Monday. Relatives who enjoyed the delicious dinner and the birthday festivities were: Bonnie and Pete Parisi and their children, David, of course, and Dawn, Dean, Danny and Derrick; Sandy and Jim Neff; Donna, Alan and Nicole Ketron; Denise and Jason; Phil, Jack and Kim and Linda Vick. Everyone had a fun time and our belated birthday wishes are extended to Joan Bucaro and her young grandson, David! ANNIVERSARY TIME! Anniversary wishes are extended to Mel and Dorothy Morgenson who celebrated their thirty-first wedding anniversary on March 20. Congratulations to you both! PROUD PARENTS Les and Nedra Eckhart are enjoying their role as expecially proud parents once again! WOMEN'S CLUB NEWS! The April meeting of the Lakeland Park Women's Club will be held next Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at the community house. A nominating committee consisting of chairlady, Nedra Eckhart, Ann , Rehfinger and Edna Domrese will present a slate of nominees at the meeting and the election of the new officers will be held. Active members of the club should plan to attend and help to elect their new officers and enjoy the pleasant afternoon. BOARD MEETING Hie regular monthly meeting of the board of directors of the Lakeland Park Property Owners Association will be held Thursday, April 4, at the Community house at 8 p.m. Hiese meetings are always open to members of good standing of the association.
