Upon their return from a honeymoon trip to Florida, the newlyweds plan to make their home in McHenry. The bride, a 1970 graduate of MCHS, is employed as a bookkeeper for Buss Ford, McHenry. The groom is a 1967 graduate of Badger high, Lake Geneva. He attended Stout State university at Menomonie, Wis. for one year and Kenosha Technical institute at Kenosha for two years. He works as a service representative for Miller Formless, McHenry. Prior to the wedding, the bride was honored at two showers. A buffet shower was hosted by her sisters and sisters-in-law and another was given by the bridesmaids. Special guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bugner and son, Bill, of Fostoria, Ohio. Jensen chose Saturday, April 20, as the date for their wedding at St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Johnsburg. They repeated their nuptial vows before the Rev. Leo Bartel at the 3 o'clock afternoon services. Miss Lafontaine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Lafontaine of 2015 W. Johnsburg road, McHenry. Mr. Jensen of 4817 Crystal Lake road, McHenry, is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen, who resided in Genoa City, Wis. Special music at the ceremony was presented by Michelle Reining, who sang "We Are The Light of the World" and "Wedding Song" with guitar accompaniment. The pretty bride wore a schiffley embroidered dotted Swiss gown fashioned with an empire bodice, a mini-yoke outlined in self fabric ruffle accented with a garland of Venice lace and a semi A-line skirt with ruffled hemline of matching fabric which draped into a mini-train. Her cathedral illusion veil was attached to a pear applique Venice lace profile cap. She carried a cascading bouquet of yellow roses, white carnations and baby's breath. The bride's earrings were a gift of the groom, and she wore as "something borrowed", a cross belonging to her sister-in- law, Mrs. Karen Lafontaine. Barb Himpelmann of McHenry attended her friend as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Beth Gende and Jane Freund of McHenry, friends of the bride, and Sue and Cindy Lafontaine, the bride's sisters. Little Kerri Lynn Beutel, the bride's godchild, served as flower girl. The attendants wore flocked, white dotted Swiss over blue taffeta gowns styled with V- necklines and short puffed sleeves. They wore blue picture hats accented with blue streamers. Each carried a basket of assorted colored daisies. Roger Fish of Lake Geneva served as best man. Groomsmen were Val Campbell of Green Bay, brother-in-law of the groom, and Joe and Mike Lafontaine, brothers of the bride. Handling the ushering duties were Bill and Jim Lafontaine, the bride's brothers.
