C7ifi± cJ-fomzmakz z Recently there have been a number of questions and reports about fabric softeners or anti-static products that are sprayed into the clothes dryer, says Pat Frank,McHenry county Extension adviser in Home Economics. Warning labels are being placed in new dryers by manufacturers. The labels caution against using a fabric softener in a dryer unless the softener manufacturer assures that it is not harmful to the equipment, she adds. Apparently, these fabric softeners do not affect procelain-finish dryer drums. But there have been reports of severe corrosion damage to drums with other types of finishes, such as galvanized, stainless steel and acrylic paint. Specifically, the problems which have occured are: -residue deposits or rust on dryer drums that may be transferred to clothes. - A GREAT TIME TO SAVE- ALL SIZES NAME BRAND GIRLS-INF.
