The program includes a documentary on "The Farm HERE AND THERF IN BUSINESS Charles Frantz Is Named Board Chairman CCIA Story: Service and Education," and a talk by Captain Stubby. "Such memorials not only honor the memory of a friend or loved one," he said, "but also help the living by furthering the work of your Heart association." "In addition, many persons find memorial gifts are particularly fitting as a tribute to the achievements of a civic leader or business associate, to recognize special service given a business firm or community group and even for personal o c c a s i o n s , b i r t h d a y s , graduations and weddings They help save lives by supporting heart research, public education and community programs." The happy ones get out and look for interesting and different things to do After all, opportunity does not knock on every door Jobs that need doing are not always advertised in the newspaper. Community program*, church group-: and civic group* always have need for people with upecial talents and ahillt ' . v but you won't find them listed under the help wanted columns One thing in retirement that is important is a good start Take the effort to do something or get somewhere before you settle down on the front porch Re member. it 's always easier to sit down than \[ »s to stanxl up. - WEDNESDAY, JULY 2, 1*74 There's a saying that goes something like this: "Happiness is a running stream and not a stagnant pool." That message makes a lot of sense, and its meaning relates to all of us. Retirement can be a miserable time for one who has nothing to do. But, happiness in retirement s having something to do-- and doing it. 1 GOOD W0B from the Sible The glory of the Lord rj shall endure for ever-, the Lord shall rejoice in his works. v>' Psalm J 04 : 3J .
