McCullom Lake Geny Milbratz 385-8543 Pass Ordinance For Village Expenditures b Notes from the village board meeting May 27. Ordinance no. 117 (appropriations) was passed telling projected village expenditures for the next year. A copy of the ordinance will be published in the Plaindealer. There was some discussion on the procedure for obtaining building permits. From now on, residents are to apply for a permit at least 7 to 10 days, before starting any building. They must also bring a sketch of their plans to the building inspector, Mr. Kurth, showing the site and size of construction planned. This way Mr. Kurth will have time to check the location, or see what changes should be made before issuing a permit. Anyone who begins work without a permit is subject to a fine. Even if a contractor is hired, the home owner will be held responsible, if the con tractor doesn't get the permit. The board voted to renew the contract with the county concerning animal control. Mr. Brown explained that the reasons so many of the recently stocked Northern died was due to problems in tran sporting and transferring them to the lake. He said they had probably been confined in the trucks too long, and been over crowded and over handled. This caused stress in the fish, where they wouldn't feed, and Mon.-Fri 9:00-9*00 Sal 9:00-6:00 Sun 104)0-5:00 Sale! Sheer Nylon Knee High Hosiery 4!$' 3 prs. 1.19 or 42(6 pr. The pros and cons of aeration, a process of adding oxygen to the water, were presented by Mr. Ericson. Aeration is supposed to ease algae, and help prevent winter kill. The club is considering using it on a very limited basis, mainly to prevent winter kill. Thus far, there have been no reports of "swimmers itch" anywhere around the lake. Plans are to treat the water sometime in June, as a precautionary measure. GIRLS' BALL Banana Splits won over the Star Babies 13-6, in the game, May 28.
