Ruth Wegner with several of the folks from the Ringwood church also attending. Sunday, June 8, will be Rev. Wegner's last day in these two pulpits as she is leaving to fill a chaplaincy position at St. Luke- Presbyterian hospital in Chicago. SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE HOUR There will be a coffee hour held following church services at Ringwood Sunday morning, June 8. Inasmuch as this is Ruth's last day in the pulpit, members and friends of the church are invited to attend and wish her well in her new position. 4-H CLUB PAPER DRIVE The McLakeWood 4-H Club will be manning the collection center at the McHenry Shop­ ping Center on Saturday, June 21. The club members will greatly appreciate your help in making this a successful collection. The center will be open at 9 o'clock on the twenty- first, for your papers, glass and clean tin cans. BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Little Ricky VanEvery was guest of honor at his very own second birthday party given by his parents, Leon and Linda Van Every, Thursday evening, May 29. Those helping Ricky to celebrate were his grand­ parents Mr. and Mrs. Tag VanEvery, Aunt Susie and Aunt Vickie all of Solon Mills, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Adams and Uncle Tim of McHenry, great Grandma Alice VanEvery of Richmond, and Great Aunt Wanda Todd also of Richmond, also Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Diedrich and Tina and Jeff of Spring Grove. All had fun and enjoyed the delicious ice cream and cake that Mom served. NEWCOMERS Mr. and Mrs. Clyde VanEvery have moved into the Walkington house formerly occupied by William Cruickshank who has moved to Wonder Lake. Clyde and Sharon moved here from Rich­ mond. HERE AND THERE Tom and Maya Walkington of Macomb, but now of Car- bondale (you see they moved last week) spent a couple of days with Tom's parents, the Paul Walkingtons. Wednesday evening they celebrated Tom's?? birthday (May 29) with ice cream and cake. Those who came to help Tom blow out the candles were nephews Doug and Chad Adams. Of course Ida Mae and Junior Adams came too because they had to bring the boys over. Walt and Doris Low camped last weekend with friends on a private farm. They seem to hit it pretty lucky weatherwise. Friday night was a little damp but not bad and Saturday was fairly clear, with Sunday only getting a few drops of rain north of Spring Grove when McHenry and Ringwood were hit with a large thunder cloud that was wet, wet. Paul and Althea Walkington and Lee spent the weekend camping at Legend Lake, Wis., where they joined the Alvin Benoy family who had been there all week. A good time was had by all and as usual everyone hated to come home. Patti Miller attended the mini square dance convention in Chicago on Friday night with Lyle and Bonnie Stalker. Saturday evening Patti and Dan went with the Stalkers to the convention. There were other Checkerboard Square members attending too. Lyle was one of the callers at this convention. Hear that there were TV cameras roaming around the dance floor also. Did anyone see someone they thought might be a square dancer from our area? BIRTHDAYS Happy birthday to all these lucky people whose birthday falls on the same day, June 7, they are Dawn Cerny, Larry Oonk, Emma Ortleib, June Oxtoby and Lee Strom.
