Goodwill Truck Visits McHenry Area June 27 Mrs. Nick (Agnes) Adams, local Abilities Center Goodwill Industries representative, has reported that Goodwill served 506 handicapped men and women during the past year. She announced that the Goodwill truck will be in this area, Friday, June 27, to collect repairable clothing and small housewares to be used in the vocational rehabilitation program for the handicapped men and women. For pickup arrangements or complete information about the Goodwill program, call Mrs. Adams. During the past five years the agency has reported an average annual increase of from 10 to 15 percent. The operations report showed a 5 percent gain this year. Though 135 men and women are in the training program at this time, there are more than 400 people waiting, as well as many others who have not applied, but have expressed their desire through a referral. The need is for V/2 million pounds of clothing and 100,000 bags of miscellany in order to serve a daily average of 125 handicapped men and women at Goodwill.
