A van loaded with tents, sleeping bags and gear, driven by Mrs Neuman, would find the campsite for the evenings. The boys had the job of pitching tents and cooking meals. More peddling brought these energetic young adults toward the Sugar River trail near New Glarus. The bicyclists included Explorers Jeff Lilla, Dale Morin, Rick Degen, Tom Morin, and Advisor Glen Neuman. Scouts were Randy Morin, Don Neuman and Dennis Neuman. Take-me-home country roads themed the rest of their four- day adventure. Due to the soggy weather, they had their share of problems, which slowed them down, hut with full determination all arrived home safely. All agreed the ninety- six-hour journey was well worth the effort. \LER - FRIDAY, AUGUST 22,1975 Legal Notice The Board of Education of School District 15 will receive sealed bids on a 1976 automobile until 10:00 A.M. on September 2, 1975, at the District 15 Administrative Center, 3926 W. In addition, families not meeting this criteria but with other unusual expenses due to unusually high medical expenses, shelter costs in excess of 30 percent of income, special education expenses due to the mental or physical condition of a child, and disaster or casualty losses are urged to apply. Application forms are being sent to all homes in a letter to parents. Additional copies are available at the principal's office in each school as well as the District 15 Administrative center, 3926 West Main street, McHenry. The information provided on the application is confidential and will be used only for the purpose of determining eligibility. Applications may be submitted at any time during the school year. Local authorities must consider both the income of the family during the past twelve months and the family's current rate of income to determine which is the better indicator of need for free or reduced price meals to reflect family wage earners' present level of employment. In certain cases foster children are also eligible for these benefits. If a family has foster children living with them and wishes to apply for such meals and milk for them, it should contact the school. All children are treated the same regardless of ability to pay.
