Prairie, McHenry, was Injured when her car hit a utility pole on Meadow lane, near Home avenue in Lakeland Park, last Thursday morning about 11:30. She was taken to McHenry hospital by the rescue squad for treatment of injuries. City police reported Ms. Czajkowski was north-bound on Meadow when she said a post suddenly appeared in front of her. Maple Hill drive, McHenry, was ticketed for improper right turn following an accident that also involved the car of Dean C. Challed, 5725 Broadway, Rich mond. The crash occurred on Green street, south of Elm. south of Elm. Challed said he was parked letting his wife and children out on the passenger side when he heard a scraping noise. Ms. Hocin told a city onicer she was leaving a pa riling space, traveling south onAireen street, when in her ma/euver to turn her car she struck the other vehicle. It was necessary to call a tow truck to have the vehicles separated. Challed was issued a ticket for parking in a no-parking zone. Gilbert W. Thorson, 2710 Old Oak drive, McHenry, wa^ stopped at the stoplight at Richmond and Elm when a car driven by Julie A. Hellios, 8708 Shady Lane, Wonder Lake, struck his vehicle in the rear. Thorson was south-bound on Richmond rdad and Mrs. Hellios said she tried to stop but her auto kept skidding and made contact. Oakleaf drive, McHenry, Deaths • ESTELLE KRAWCZAK Mrs. Estelle Krawczak, 67, of Spring Grove, died at her home Saturday, Sept. 29. She was born May 6, 1908, in Chicago. Mrs. Krawczak had been a permanent resident of Spring Grove for the past five years and a summer resident for twenty-two years. the deceased was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church. Survivors are one daughter, Rosemary Wutka of Chicago; four sons, Clarence of DesPlaines, Edward of Spring Grove, Thomas of Mundelein and Dennis of Chicago; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Henry Fundakowski of Glen- view and Edward Fundakowski of Chicago; two sisters, Lillian Bacon of Wisconsin and Sister Mary of St. Anne, Order of the Good Shepherd, St. Louis, Mo. Her husband, Joseph A. Krawczak, died May 10 of this year. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Brooks. The body will rest at the made a wide turn and made contact with the Jensen auto. Sales, 75, 5118 West East Lane, McCullom Lake, who died Friday, Sept. 26, in McHenry hospital. Born July 3, 1900 in Poland, the son of Albert and Emma Badaur Salefsky, he was employed as a carpenter. He is survived by four sons, Robert, Rolling Meadows, John, Neenah, Wis., James, Crystal Lake, and Charles, Arlington Heights; and ten grandchildren. His wife, Irene, preceded him in death.
