PANCAKE BRUNCH Parents for Youth is spon soring a pancake brunch on Sunday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. in the municipal building in Lakemoor. For the cost of your ticket you get all you can eat and coffee and milk will be provided. LILYMOOR CARD PARTY ~ On Oct. 22 the ladies of Lilymoor are holding a card party. Tickets will be available irom almost any lady in Lilymoor. The time for playing cards on the twenty-second is from 12:30 till 3 p.m. Cake and coffee will be served. COMPANY 3 OPEN HOUSE REMINDER -- Have you made your plans to visit the Company 3 Fire House on Rte. 120 and Lilylake road on Oct. 5. in observance of Fire- Prevention Week (from Oct. 5 through the 11). The hours for the open house are from 1p.m. till 3p.m. DINNER-DANCE The Bicentennial commission has scheduled Saturday, Nov. 1 for the dinner-dance at the V.F.W. There will be a cocktail hour from 6:30p.m. to7:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:30 and at 9 p.m. dancing will begin. All commission mem bers will have tickets available for you. More on this in later issues. RESULTSOF JUNQUESALE the Lakemoor Civil Defense Corps realized a $600 profit due to the generosity of everyone who donated items, the volunteers who helped and to those who came out and pur chased merchandise. The proceeds will be applied towards a generator and supplies necessary for civil defense. The volunteers con sisted of Ladies League, Parents for Youth, Home- Owners and last but not least the Bicentennial Commission, who were so generous with their help. RESULTS OF BAKE SALE The Lilymoor bake sale was also very successful. The amount that was raised was $84.20. Again that project was also a success due to the Spring Grove Eva Freund 675-2135 Christian Mothers Hold Installation Dinner Meeting Members of the Christian Mother's Society of St. Peter's parish held their installation of officers and dinner at the Pink House in Twin Lakes on Thursday. Sept. 18. Following dinner Beverly Schmitt con ducted a meeting Forty-three members and three guests were present. Bev thanked all members for their cooperation and support during her term of office as president. She gave a resume of the society's ac tivities and fund raising programs the past two years. Frances Heinemann was Installation Officer. She thanked the outgoing officers Beverly Schmitt as president and Sonia Miller as secretary. New officers installed were Dolores May, president, and Catherine Kagan. secretary. Those remaining in office were Jeanette Todey, vice-president and Madeline Behm. treasurer. A gold past president's pin was presented to Beverly. All of ficers wore corsages, gifts of the society. A meeting of the committee for the Halloween card party will be in the hall on Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting will be Oct. 16. 7:30 p.m. LCWC Members of the -Lotus Country Women's club held their meeting in the town hall on Wednesday, Sept. 17. A delicious noon luncheon was served. Meeting was opened by President Kay Smith with the reading of the club collect and a pledge of allegiance to the flag. A letter was read by corresponding secretary from President Martha Count of District No. 4, thanking the club for hosting the board meeting in May. Richmond Women's Club sent an invitation to attend their Oct. 14 meeting. A demonstration will be given by Richmond Rescue Squad.
