A female German Shepherd, away from her home for four days, was found and returned to her home because she wore her rabies tag. The person who located her checked her rabies tag number with county authorities and thus found her owners. Another precaution is spaying. This female is far too old for this type of surgery, though, so her relieved owners had to rush her to the vet im mediately for shots as she was in heat when she disappeared.
