This, of course, is only one in a series of steps which are necessary to assure funds for the park which would be such an asset to our com­ munity.! , At the same meeting James Edward Sanford was appointed patrolman. Furthermore the motion was passed to hire another dispatcher and to provide the necessary equip­ ment. The police department was asked to make recom­ mendations as to where street lights are needed on in­ tersections. There are plans for a com­ plete set of new street signs which the board hopes to in­ clude in the budget by May 1, 1976. A proposed intersection obstruction ordinance was presented to the board for further study. An ordinance adopting an official map and standards governing future development of the village of McHenry Shores was presented to the board for study by Thomas Henley, the village attorney. POLICE NEWS The following people were ticketed in McHenry Shores: Richard J. Garlinski (im­ proper left turn) Joseph F. Palace (con­ tinuously barking dog) J. Morvay (unauthorized entrance to roadway) Patricia Einweck (speeding) The police department also reminds all residents that according to Ordinance 4, Sec. 502 after a snowfall of 3 inches or more parking on streets and roads, including parking on shoulders, is prohibited until after the snow plow has passed through. Offenders' cars will be towed away at the owners' expense. There is also a no parking regulation for the hours bet­ ween 2 and 6 a.m. If you do have a party that you expect to last all night (wowee! let me know about that, will you?) you should call the police depart­ ment and let them know about it so that your guests do not find tickets on their cars. Before you get angry, please remember: all those rules were made to protect us! SHORELINE WAVES For the annual bazaar on Nov. 21, 22 and 23 the Shoreline Club has managed to secure the use of the empty house next to the village hall. The address is 3215 Beach Drive. The bazaar will open Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. On Saturday the-hours are 9 to 5, and if there is anything left to sell, we will be there on Sunday from 10 to 2. There are a lot of Christmas , items, all handmade, and some of them very unusual. Many of the items sell for under $2 - which could be nice for the children who don't have that much to spend. And with the way the economy is going, maybe that's not such a bad idea for all of us. So come on over and have a look! I guarantee you'll find something lovely. In connection with the bazaar, the Shoreliners are running a bake sale, and we are still looking for donations. Cookies, cupcakes, cakes and pies, bread, in short anything that does not have to be refrigerated, if you can bake something, we do appreciate your help. Remember, the Shoreline Club is a non-profit organization which means that all the proceeds are applied towards community functions and for the betterment of our village. For example, last year the club donated equipment for the beach. The Halloween costume judging was sponsored and financed by the Shoreliners. The club is working really hard to make our village an even better place to live. If this is your goal, too, why not join us? The Shoreline Club needs all of us!
