"Nutrition And Weaning" Topics Of La Leche League "Nutrition and Weaning" are the topics to be discussed at the LaLeche League meetings to be held this month. The McHenry East group, including John- sburg and Fox Lake, will meet Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m., and the McHenry West group, including Wonder Lake and Richmond, will meet on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. The League's belief that human milk is the superior infant food leads quite easily to an interest in good nutrition for the pregnant or nursing mother and for her entire family. Some of the subjects to be discussed at this month's meetings are: Reasons for delaying the in troduction of solid food to baby's diet; making your own baby food; some good ways to fortify foods at home; and the concept of baby-led weaning. The philosophy of LaLeche League is "Good mothering through Breastfeeding". The Leaders and nursing mothers of the League are always available to give moral support and practical help, through meetings, correspondence, and telephone calls to other nursing mothers. ' For further information about the meetings or LaLeche League, call Mrs. Richard (Marcia) McGown in McHenry, or Mrs. Roger (Cathy) Keinz in Wonder Lake. He was disillusioned. As a red-blooded American college boy he became caught up in the fun of fraternity life, athletics, and student govern ment. It was during this period that he found what he calls, "The high adventure of living with Christ". He came to his present church in Lily Lake after serving for a time at the Philade'nhia church in Chicago -ing the six years of his pKjent ministry the church quadrupled. Angela Amici, contralto, formerly with the Lyric Opera company of Chicago, five years ago left her career in opera to sing sacred and gospel music.
