A short meeting included reminders of the banquet May 2; a Downey tour, on May 4, and the annual spring card party May 5, all evening times. A reading entitled "Prayer on the Q.T." by the Virginia State Regent was heard by Oleva Clucas. Elected to the nominating committee at the April meeting were Celia Blake, Clara Slegar, Frances Widhalm, Jeanne Driscoll and Bertha Huff. Under Mrs. McEachren's leadership, the McHenry County Historical society and museum is working to collect oral histories of early county residents, establish historic trails throughout the county, provide a speakers bureau, mark historic sites, and preserve our history through a first-rate museum.
