Plan Anniversary Celebration for five credits and combining analytic geometry classes with calculus classes. The changes will make it easier for students who have had analytic geometry in high school to begin with the calculus series at the college, he said. In addition to the higher level math courses the college also offers elements of mathematics and technical mathematics for students who need basic courses. The technical mathematics course will be offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Daytime, evening and Satur day sections are available for elements of mathematics and intermediate algebra classes. Students planning to take a beginning science course should consider a special section of fundamentals of biology which will be taught on an individualized basis by MCC instructor Douglas Grove. The class will not be a traditional lecture and lab session, but instead will involve students in deciding how intense they want their study of biology to be and choosing from a series of tracks to reach their goals. Information on course content or on placement testing to help students choose their courses is available by con tacting Konitzer at MCC. Fall semester classes begin the week of Aug. 22, with registration now in progress. Students may register by phone until Aug. 5 or in person through Aug. 26. Registration hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday until Aug. 8, when hours will be extended to include 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. HERE AND THERE IN BUSINESS General Phone Surveys Monthly Customer Sampling General Telephone of Illinois will begin sampling customers' opinions by telephone begin ning Aug. l. The program is called TEL-CEL, an acronym for Telephone purvey of Customer Expectation Levels. This approach to determining the degree of customer satisfaction with their telephone service will replace the present method of mailing questionnaires to customers Jan. 1, 1978. In the meantime, during the ^implementation of the survey by telephone, some customers will receive questionnaires in the mail. There will be five areas of inquiry: installation of new and subsequent service; repair service; directory assistance and long distance service by the operators; local and long distance dialing; and billing. A customer called will be asked only about his recent ex perience in one of these categories. The length of the call will be kept to a minimum so as not to inconvenience or infringe upon the customer's time.
