Bowling and Baseball In my teaching recently I've been trying to folate bowling to ba--ball, to give students a new perspective. Look at a good baseball pitcher, then look at a food bowler, and take note of the many similarities. A pitcher's body, hit step, his arm swing and his follow through are all good examples for any bowler to follow. Note thata baseball pitcher faces his target, keeps his body fairly erect, and his arm swing and reach, as well as his follow through, are gsarad toward that some target Balance, timing and lever age are important in pitching a baseball, and rolling a bowl ing ball as I do with my LT- 48 ball. The only basic dif ference is that the pitcher throws overhand and the bowler rolls underhand. So the next time you watch a baseball game, in person or on TV, watch the pitcher a little more carefully than you normally do. Both of you are interested in the same thing, plenty of strikes.
