Chapel Hill Rd., McHenry McHenry Senior Citizens Club Posts RTA Protest, In spite of inclement weather Monday evening, Nov. 28, there were ninety-eight in attendance when President Ralph Lockerbie called the McHenry Senior Citizens club meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., at East campus cafeteria. The R.T.A. matter was discussed in detail, and a letter read showing what progress has been made toward helping McHenry county realize some benefits. So far McHenry county has received nothing whatsoever. A letter was read that is being sent to-Attorney General Scott, accompanied by the list of petitioners from the club, hoping that if enough pressure is brought to bear McHenry county will get what is coming to it or be withdrawn from the project entirely. After the pledge of allegiance to the flag had been recited in unison, President Lockerbie read a poem inspirational fit all times of the year entitled "Count Your Blessings" which all enjoyed. Mrs. Clara Knetzer, loop bus chairlady, announced that there will be two buses going to the Chicago Loop Wednesday, Dec. 14. There are still a very limited number of reservations available. Here's a chance to see the Christmas decorations which are always so beautiful, and finish up any holiday shopping. This bus-luncheon-museum trip will have an added attraction of also visiting the Berkley art museum. The bus will leave the McHenry State bank ten tatively between 9 or 9:30 a.m.; definite time to be decided later. The buses for the circus will leave McHenry about 5:30 p.m. Mrs. Anne Rehfinger, social chairlady, reported all reservations are taken for the annual club Christmas dinner and party to be held Monday, Dec. 12, at 6:30 p.m., at West campus cafeteria. Those unable to attend the dinner are invited to come for the program at 7:45 p.m. It will be given by local talent and should be quite entertaining. The program was presented by Program Chairlady, Bertha Quinn, and was given by Eileen Hansen, McHenry County Health Department; a very interesting and informative presentation. About 90 per cent of the oil is used in products such as margarine, shortening, salad oils, cooking oils and mayonnaise. Cottage Cheese Cottage cheese is economical, good and has a variety of uses. Try serving it with fruit or vegetable salads or with cabbage and carrot slaw. Another tasty combination is cottage cheese mixed with French dressing served as a salad topping.
