A senior, Sean played end position on the Redmen var sity, which posted a 3-5 record overall. Wayland academy is a coeducational, college preparatory boarding and day school for grades 8-12 in Beaver Dam, Wis. The independent school has a present enrollment of 290 students and competes in the Midwest Prep Conference, a member of the Wisconsin Independent Schools Athletic association (W1SAA). Coach Diane Mizerka's triangle of strength includes Northern Illinois Snowmobile Races The 10th annual Polar Pairs Snowmobile club sponsored races are to be held Sunday, Jan. 8, 1978. The races, with competition open to the public, will be run on a closed Vk mile oval course which provides unobstructed viewing by all spectators. . Entries, which are being accepted by amateur and professional drivers from throughout the midwest area, will be accepted until 10:30 a.m. on race day. Any licensed driver is eligible to compete with separate classes established to provide equal distribution of the trophies and cash prizes. A special "An tique" class has been established for 1968 or older snowmobiles. The state did not prosecute a charge of improper lane usage. In hearings before Judge Leonard Brody, on Dec. 22, Henry E. Dehne, 2709 Michael, Wonder Lake, was found not guilty of driving while his license was suspended or revoked. Donald Carlson, Antioch, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of unlawful possession of cannabis and was placed on one year probation under Sec. 710 of the Cannabis Control Act. Mark E. Arthur, 467 Porter, Crystal Lake, guilty of retail theft under $150, fined $45 and placed under court supervision for 3 months. . Joseph H. George W. McBeath, 903 Rt. 12, Spring Grove, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $25 and costs. Gordon M. Newcomb, 1052 Conrad court, Elk Grove Village, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of speeding. He was fined $40 and placed on 90 days court supervision. Jeffery Paulsen, 2608 Knob Hill road, McHenry, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $25 and costs. Barry G. Williams, 301 Crescent drive, Wheeling, pleaded guilty to driving too fast for conditions and was fined $20 and costs. Sam Bartolai, 3037 N. Nat chez, Chicago, in a trial was acquitted on a charge of speeding. In a trial, Jeffrey J. Heiber, 3710 Meadow drive, Rolling Meadows, was found guilty of speeding and was fined $25 and costs. In a trial Herman Horton, 127 N. Tratt, Whitewater, Wis., was found guilty of speeding and was fined $25 and costs. Scott H. Schoffel, 330 S. Waterman avenue, Arlington Heights, was found guilty, in a trial, of speeding and was fined $25 and costs. In a preliminary hearing before Associate Judge Leonard Brody in Branch I Court Woodstock on Dec. 21, probable cause on charge ot criminal damage over $150 was found against Kevin M. Cadotte, 3202 Skyway drive, McHenry, and he was bound over to the felony court of Judge Roland Hermann for further hearings on Jan. 4. In a preliminary hearing, probable cause on a charge of aggravated battery was found against Rex L. Sommer, Kingswood Apartments, Woodstock, and he was bound over to the court of Judge James H. Cooney for a hearing on Jan. 4. A charge of battery was also assigned to Judge Cooney's court for hearing. In hearings before Associate Judge Brody in Branch I Court on Dec. 20, Scott Barth, 3719 Spring Grove road, McHenry, was sentenced to one-year probation and court costs for a conviction for battery. Leon D. Beaman, 1719 Ridge road, McHenry, entered a negotiated plea of guilty to a charge of unlawful possession of cannabis and was placed on 6 months probation under Sec tion 710 of the Cannabis Control Act (No court record). In a trial before Associate Judge Brody on Dec. 19, Lawrence W. Johnson, 2404 Villa, McHenry, was found guilty of battery and his hearing was continued to Jan. 31 for sentencing. . ' • » i .
