Group Formed At Christ The King A recently formed youth group at Christ the King church is named R.O.C.K. (Rally of Christ the King). Young people fourteen years and older are invited to attend the meetings which are held at 7 p.m. at the Religion Center on Sunday evenings. During the Christmas holidays the ROCK group went caroling at the homes of some of our senior citizens and presented them with fruit baskets and homemade decorations. Special guest speakers have highlighted their meetings and a bowling-pizza party was enjoyed last Saturday night. Future activities include a Disco Night on Saturday, March 18. WELCOME FIRST CHILD Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gale of 7224 Oak street, Wonder Lake, are welcoming their first child,1 a daughter, who was born on Feb. 10, in Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Wood­ stock. The little girl was named Melissa Rae and she weighed 7 lbs , 5 oz,, at birth. Maternal grandmother, Mrs. Sylvia Johnson, and paternal grand­ mother, Mrs. Stephanie Gale, are both Wonder Lake residents. Melissa's mom is the former Jennifer Johnson. STUDENT VISITOR Richard Healless, son of Marge and Dan Dugan of Highland Shores was a Valentine weekend visitor in the Dugan home. Richard flew in to surprise his mother from the University of Kansas, Pittsburg, Kans., where he is a student. RETREAT WEEKEND Dolores Wines has announced the dates of the annual Christ the King Ladies Retreat. The gals of the parish and their friends (including non- Catholics ) will travel to Bishop - Lane Retreat House in Rock- ford on Friday, March 10, and return refreshed and renewed to their homes on Sunday, March 12. FIRST CHILD A daughter, Aubrey Barbara, was born to Mr. and Mrs. William Imlah, 7401 E. Nor- thwood drive, Wonder Lake, on Feb. 11, in Memorial hospital for McHenry County, Wood­ stock. Aubrey weighed 8 lbs., 7 oz., at birth and is the first child for the Imlahs. Maternal grandparents are Barbara and Harold Geisler of Elk Grove Village. John Imlah of Des Plaines is paternal grand­ father. Paternal great- grandmothers are Edith Sandborn of Medina, and Helen Imlah of Elmhurst. Maternal great grandfather is Ralph Hain who lives in Florida. Aubrey's mom is the former Sharon Geisler. OPEN HOUSE FOR TONY The Master Property Owners Association of Wonder Lake is acknowledging with pride the selection of our own Tony Zidek as the 1978 National Easter Seal Child. An open house reception has been planned for Sunday, March 5, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Christ the King hall, in order that the people of Wonder Lake can meet this exceptional youngster and his mother, Janice. The next few months will be busy ones for Tony as he will be traveling to Washington, D.C. to meet President Carter and he will be on the Easter Seal Telethon, April 1 and 2, from Los Angeles, Calif. The workshop runs 3 to 5 p.m. and will be held in Woodstock at Northwood elementary school. The workshop will include demonstration using parliamentary procedure in conducting the 4-H meeting; discussion of rules of 1 order; break into groups to practice procedures learned; reconvene as a large group for a general sharing session club programs.
