0 A Man On The Go . In His '31 Truck What's the best way to escape a lingering winter? How about driving a 1931 Model-A Ford truck to the warm weather in Arizona. That's how Allen "Tag" Van Every of Solon Mills has escaped the snow and cold of McHenry county. Van Every, 3789 E. Solon road, left last Friday in his '31 Ford, and should be enjoying the warmth of the Arizona sun sometime this week. Why did "Tag"' decide to drive his antique truck to Black Canyon City. Arizona? "I just wanted to do it." said the Solon Mills man. Van Every said that his truck would be equipped with a CB radio and two spare tires, and would travel at an average speed of 46 miles per hour. "If everything goes good," said Tag. "I should make it in five days driving time." Van Every has taken his old PAGE 9 - PLAIN DEALER - FRIDAY. Although the truck is equipped with a "police radar detection device, "a Fuzz Buster", it isn't actually needed. The truck will only average 46 miles an hour, and its top speed is under the maximum speed limit of 55 miles per hours.
