Two hundred guests attended a dinner dance reception and congratulated the bridal couple at Branded Steak House after the ceremony. A honeymoon trip to Jamaica preceded residency in McHenry. The bride is a graduate of Huntley high school and St. Anthony hospital School of Nursing. She is a registered nurse at Memorial hospital, Woodstock. Her bridegroom, a surgeon, is on the staff of McHenry, Woodstock, and Harvard hospitals. MCHENRY 385-2671 Club Appoints April Fashion Show Chairmen During a recent executive board session of the Town and Country Newcomers club, president Sandy Howell reported on three important items concerning club mem­ bers. First, Mrs. Howell noted the appointment of Gloria Stewart, Marilyn Bisiewicz, and Judy Grenier as additional chairman for the upcoming club fashion show to be held Thursday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Country club. Mrs. Howell then announced the formation of a nominating committee which would present a slate of officers at the March meeting for election at the April general meeting. Judy Altenbern was selected to head this committee. Finally, the executive board gave its approval of the Dance-a-thon scheduling of the next several club activities: the Couples' Bowling night Saturday, March 11 at 7 p.m. at Palace bowl; "Donuts with the Easter Bunny" Saturday, March 18 at 9:30a.m. at Faith Presbyterian church; and the next regular meeting of the club Tuesday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal church, McHenry. Program chairman Pat Przetacznik explained that Nancy Gohla, the community education program coordinator from the Family Service and Mental Health clinic of McHenry county will discuss the topic, "Coping with Stress." Owen of 1748 Oakland boulevard, Ft. Worth, Tex., announce the engagement of their daughter, DeAnne, to Mark Bradford, son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Bradford of Sulphur Springs, Tex. The bride-elect is a 1972 graduate of McHenry Community high school and graduated from Northwestern university. School of Dental Hygiene in 1974. She is employed as a dental hygienist in Ft. Worth. Her fiance graduated from Sulphur Springs high school in 1969 and from East Texas State university in 1975. He holds a position in sales and marketing. A June 17, 1978, wedding will take place at 7 p.m. at Sagamore Hill Baptist church, Ft. Worth, Tex. Wonder Lake Girl Top Money Maker A Wonder Lake girl has been awarded first prize as the top money maker for the recent Easter Seal Disco Dance-a- thon, held Feb. 4 and 5. Karen Gunderson raised $826.50, almost $200 more than the second place winner, An­ thony Pintozzi of McHenry. Another participant from McHenry, Maureen Davis, finished in the top ten in eighth place. The top ten finishers were awarded gifts donated by county businesses at a Victory dance sponsored by the McHenry County Easter Seal society Feb. 24. Due to the success of the Dance-a-thon, Ms. Gunderson has been invited by the society to attend the Easter Seal telethon, being broadcast nationally from Hollywood. Tony Zidek, the National Easter Seal Poster child from Wonder Lake, will be ap­ pearing on the show, which will be broadcast on WSNS-TV, Channel 44, Chicago, April 1. The Easter Seal society has announced that because of the tremendous reponse from youth in the county, they will sponsor the Disco Dance-a-thon next year. IZdgebrook PTO Holds Election Of Officers The March general meeting of the Edgebrook P.T.O. will be held March 15 at 7:30 in the school gym. Following the usuab business meeting, election of next year's officers will be held. The evening will also feature guest speaker, Ms. Lois Shay, craft artist, who will demon­ strate and speak on quilting, needlepoint and rug making. Ms. Shay will available to answer questions on all phases of crafts and handiwork in addition to discussion on the items she will feature. Refreshments will be served following the meeting. Dixon of McHeryy have joined the ranks of parenthood by being blessed with twin boys born Monday, Feb. 27. Little Robert Archie arrived at Memorial hospital, Wood­ stock, at 6:26 a.m. and weighed in at 3 lbs. 10 oz. Frederick Dale arrived at 6:36 a.m. and tipped the scales at 4 lbs. 5 oz. Both are doing well but need to grow a little, with Robert at Memorial hospital and Frederick at Rockford, before they can go home to 4614 Garden Quarter road. The babys' mother is the former Beverly McPherson, daughter of Archie and Lillian McPherson of LaVaUe, Wis., formerly of ' McHenry. Maternal great grandmother Laura Liberty lives in Chicago. The babys' father, Robert, is the son of Glenn Dale and Loretta Dixon of McHenry. Paternal great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bienapfl of McHenry. Mrs. Bienapfl is the former Agnes Tesch of McHenry. When the twins reach the age of "going to the library" they will be the sixth generation to enter the landmark of their great, great, great grand­ parents' home. April Wedding For McHenry & Navy Radioman Mr. and Mrs. Thurman S. Walls, Sr., of Hampton, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jeanne Marie, to Thomas Edward Amann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Amann of McHenry. The bride-elect is a 1974 graduate of Bethel high school of Hampton, Va. Her fiance, who graduated from McHenry Community high school in 1974, joined the U.S. Navy the following October. He is currently homebased at Norfolk, Va. AFB, serving as a submarine radio technician. The couple plan to make their home in Hawaii after an April wedding.
