Walking from the fifth green to the sixth tee Nell tripped, fell and broke two fingers. An automatic forfeit could be granted; however, Carol elected to postpone the match so that one or the other might win under more favorable circumstances - Tentatively, the match will be made up some time before the end of August In Consolation Laverne Harpling won in Class A, Maisie Stamer in Class B, Betty Rode in Class C and Pat MacDonald in Class D. Liz Jack Barnas Plans 24-Mile Swim Fete Jack Barnas, 20-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Barnas of 805 N. River road, will set out on what he hopes may be a record setting swimming fete locally Aug 7. The young Western Illinois university student will leave McHenry at 5am with a goal of swimming twenty-four miles through the Chain O'Lakes and surrounding waters.
