Anyone wishing a free copy may wnte to us at Box 500, Pawling, NY 12564 Can't accept lifestyle Q. Our 22-year-old son is divorced and living back at home. He has no job, won't even look for one. He is going back to school. But what hurts the most is that he lives with this 28-year-o!d girl about half the time, and I iust can't acceot that lifestyle. What can I do? I pray all the time that he will see what he is doing to his family. A. It would be better if your son did not live in your home if he is going to conduct himself as you describe. It isn't necessary that you permit this unhappy situation to proceed so close to you. Let him know how you feel about the matter. Then say nothing further about it. When you pray, hold a mental picture of your son living an organized and moral life. Prayerful mental pictures, long held, tend to reproduce in actuality. No ordinary mess Q. I love my husband, but I get so aggravated at this thoughtless sloppiness. This isn't ordinary messiness. There are shirts, suits and ties on door knobs and chair backs. Wherever he takes something off, that's where it stays. In the kitchen every cupboard is left open and there's a pile of refuse on the counter tops. Drinking glasses, ice cream bowls and orange peels are on the floor throughout the house. Tools, shoe polish and rags are left on tables, floors or couch. I don't nag, but I finally told him I'm not picking up anything after him. He gets mad and thinks I'm unreasonable. Am I? A. Of course you are not unreasonable. What this man needs is to get himself organized, for such sloppiness is a sure sign of a sloppy mentality. L*t him know, in no uncertain terms, that you will not put up with it. Then keep yourself as neat as a pin. But don't fight with him. He is probably a "mama's boy" and a "spoiled brat". And mama picked up after him in a soft, resigned, loving manner. But you don't need to be his mama. Over 1,150,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and untold hours of volunteer time have con verted 285 acres of McHenry county farm °land to a multifaceted program center for the use of Girl Scouts and o t h e r c o m m u n i t y organizations. Shabbona Hills was pur chased by the council in 1973 after an extensive search for land that would lend itself to camping, environmental study, field games, arts, cross country skiing and other activities that Girl Scouts of all ages find exciting and educational. In only five years, Girl Scouts, their friends, and community minded service organizations such as the Kiwanians and Cosmopolitans have transformed the farm into an exciting Girl Scout program center. It has already been used for day and troop cam: ping, special events for girts and adults, and outdoor education center for schools. Projections of future cookie sales' revenue promise even more program facilities and equipment. The center will be dedicated Oct. 15. Friends of Girl Scouting are invited to celebrate years of successful cookie sales. Specific open hour information is available from any Girl Scout or from the council office in Elgin. The Sybaquay Girl Scout council is a member agency of United Ways in McHenry, Kane, Lake, DeKalb, and Cook counties.
