PAGE 22- PLAINDEALER - WEDNESDAY, MAY 1«, 1979 Sunnyside Area Betty Messer 344-2494 Park Director Seeks Helpers Lillian Pomonis, director of Sunnyside park, is still looking for volunteers to help install park equipment. There are a couple of large pieces of playground equipment that have to be installed. There's a slide and a merry-go-round, and Lillian can't do this alone, so how about giving her a call and offering to help get the playground equipment in stalled. It's for your children, too. Call Lillian at 385-7012. REMINDER Don't forget the weekend of June 1 and 2 is spring clean-up time in the village. Locations of the bins for your rubbish will be published before the clean-up. So clean up your garage and attic. It's clean up time. POLICE NOTES Chief Donna Mitchell plans on holding a bike registration on June 2 and 3. It will be held at her home 4017 W. Wilmot road. All bicycle owners should plan on getting over on one of the two days and get their bikes registered. Registration numbers go on the bikes and stay in the police files. In the event a bike is lost or stolen the registration number aides the police in finding the owner. CUB PACK 454 The last cub pack meeting for the 78-79 year is to be held on Wednesday evening May 23. This is the big meeting of the year. A number of activities are being planned. Three boys from Den 13 will advance to Webelos Scouts, their final step before entering Boy Scouts. The boys are Randy Sundell, Mike Fortin and Bob Messer. This is a very impressive ceremony. The Cub Scout pack is planning a car wash and bake sale for Sunday May 20. It will be held at the Johnsburg fire station on Chapel Hill road. Hours are 9 to 2. While you are there getting your car washed you can treat yourself to a slice of cake and then take home a baked goody for Sunday dessert. The final outing of the year for the boys will be a baseball game. The boys will go to see a major league game either in Milwaukee or at Wrigley field, the first part of June. REMINDER Sunday, May 20, is the Spaghetti dinner sponsored by the Johnsburg rescue squad. The dinner will be held at the Johnsburg Community center on Church street, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Profits from the dinner go to the Johnsburg Community center on Church street, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Profits from the dinner go to the Johnsburg Rescue squad building expansion fund.
