COMPLAINTS Though Sunnyside estates is not part of the village of Sun nyside, some complaints have come into the village from residents -of the Estates. Residents are complaining about children tampering with mail boxes and removing mail. Tires are being slashed. People are getting pretty irate. Parents, do you know where your children are and what, they are doing? Mail tampering is a federal offense. Slashing tires a costly pastime. Cars and their accessories are expensive. So, parents, checking as to where yq children are and what they doing. Children caught will turned over to the authorit REMINDER Don't forget that this week is the Garage and Bake sale sponsore(M>y the Pistakee Highlands Cub Scout pack 452. A MESSAGE This is a special message from village trustee, William Mitchell, to the residents of Sunnyside. "Help! Please send the police to my house, a man with a shotgun is trying to break in, please hurry." The police respond to the call, 60, 70, MPH. Time is very import; The arrival of the police is ti but because several homes not have their house numbers on them, the police have to try and guess, which is the right one. The same could happen with the fire and rescue • departments. Sunnyside is getting bigger and bigger all the time. And the population is also increasing, and with the increase in population and the im provement of our weather, emergency services are also, increased. Sunnyside is a nice place to live. The air is clean and the area is l<|utet. The people who serve youdre tfytng hard to keep Sunnyside a nice place to live. With your help and good teamwork, we will be able to keep Sunnyside a nice place to live. So team, "Let's get together". Run over to the store of your choice and buy a set of house numbers. Please try to find some at least 3 inches high, and put numbers close to your front door or the street side of your house. Other beneifts received from this small effort are better service to your home from mail, milk, UPS, the newspaper and any other type delivery made to your home. Myself and the people who serve you and your team will be grateful. Bill Mitchell, trustee and Police commissioner. . r ' ' \ ANNIVERSARIES This week's anniversary couples are Karen and Greg Domski, 1605 Lakeview. Thei? special day was July 1. Also, greetings go out to Ernie Le Bay, who has his special day July 4; and also to Lori Le Bay, Who has her day July 5. Best wishes to you all for a very happy day, and many more to come. What could be . more American than the Fourth of July and-the family dog? Un fortunately, the two don't always mix. Fireworks can mean trouble for both people and animals. Dog care experts suggest that rule number one in caring for a canine frienft in the great outdoors of early July is to nervous athtene many dogs into frenzies, and some think firecrackers are for When the noise is combined with crowds of strange people, you're putting your dog in a potentially dangerous situation . • ! V v J M - i ' { i t • If you cannot leave your Fourth "best friend" at home, be sure to keep him on a leash at all times. Also, whenever you take your dog to a public area, use a litter clean-up device. If a picnic is on the agenda, do your dog a big favor and bring along his regular food. Hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad and pickles can upset your pet's stomach.
