WALK AND BIKE-A-THON Church school children of the Ringwood and Greenwood churches will be collecting for UNICEF this Sunday afternoon from 2 until 4 p.m. in their respective communities. This is the "Year of the Child", so please give freely when these little folks knock on your door- they want to help other children who are not as fortunate as they. - The youth of U.M.Y. will meet at the Greenwood church this Sunday at 2:30 for their bike-a-thon to the Ringwood church. Ladies of the Ringwood U.M.W. will serve a light lunch 1979 to the young folks when they meet back at the church. ONE YEAR OLD A special birthday party was planned for little Cecily Han­ cock, by her mom and dad; Mike and Laura Hancock. Cecily was one year old on Oct. 19 and the party was held on Saturday, Oct. 20, with family and friends there to help her blow her one candle out! Chicken with Dumpling* 5 lb chicken 1/8 1 salt 2 t pepper Few stalks of celery Cut chicken in pieces and cover with boiling water. Add celery. Reduce heat and cook slowly until tender, about 2 to 2Vj hours. Add salt after 45 minutes of cooking. Let stand until fat collects on top. Re­ move most of fat with a spoon. Take chicken out and remove skin and bones. Heat stock to boiling point. Add dumplings. Dumplings P/j c flour 1 t salt 2 t baking powder '/« c milk Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Add milk gradually. Beat until smooth. Drop into hot stock by table­ spoons. Cover tightly. Cook for IS minutes. The first of the year is the hilarious comedy, "The Matchmaker". Performances will be given Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9 and 10, at 8 p.m. There will also be a special preview performance- given Wednesday, Nov. 7, for Johnsburg faculty members and other invited guests. Senior citizens are welcome to attend the preview or either of the regular performances as guests of the Johnsburg High School Drama club.
