The ikes, as in past years, were arks of art. Helping out the finances of e pack, was the auctioning the cakes after the contest as over. Because of many onerous donations a total of 05 was brought in. Judging the contest were: til Fitzgerald, Ray Humphrey, Lorraine Murphy, Pastor James Segrin, and Bill Sullivan. The cake auctioneer was Gregg Kuretsky. There have been a few changes in the pack. Taking over as Cub Master, will be Pat McMahon. Tom O'Brien will now be the Webelos leader. Roger Moore will remain in charge of the Boy Scouts, with Frank Jackson helping. TOPS QUEEN FOR 1979 P£t Dusthimer has been named 1979 queen for the Wonder Lake Chapter, IL 1845 of TOPS. She lost 32 lbs,, and in April will compete in a regional contest. TOPS is a non-profit organization designed to help "take off pounds sen­ sibly." The Wonder Lake group meets every Thursday at l p.m. in Christ the King hall. Mrs. Elaine O'Slakovic was the gracious hostess, greeting everyone in her lovely home. The topic of the program, "ribbons, flowers and stick corsages" was given by Mrs. Ruth Kinzie with an exhibit table showing a variety of materials to be used. Roll call subject was, "your favorite cooking herbs." It was both a delightful and informative program. When this was originally planned, it was to be a birthday party for the club president, Marie Robinson. Marie recently passed away, so they decided to continue with the potluck in her honor. A minute of silence was observed at the beginning of the meeting and a collection was taken up. The money will be given to the Wonder- Lake Rescue squad; as a memorial for Marie Robinsdn. New officers were elected; Ann Schupolsky is the president, with Betsy Smith, treasurer, and Louise Ar- manentos secretary. „ The next meeting will be Wednesday, April 2,11 a.m. at Christ the King church. SENIOR CITIZENS The Senior Citizens will be meeting Monday, April 7, at Nativity Lutheran church. Installation of officers will be held at this meeting, which will begin at 1 p.m. After the business meeting, refreshments will be served and favorite card games will be played. LAS VEGAS NIGHT The Wonder Lake Area Jaycees will hold a Las Vegas night, Saturday, April 12, from 8 to 11 p.m. at Christ the King hall, The proceeds from this event will help send han­ dicapped children from Wonder Lake to Camp New Hope in Mattoon, Hi. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the hardware store, or by calling 728-0235. They will also be available at the door. To make the honor roll, a student must have a grade point average of 3.00 ("B") or better in eight academic subjects. A 4.00 would represent a straight "A" average. . County Subdivision Ordinance Available The McHenry County Subdivision ordinance is now available at the Planning department. The Subdivision ordinance was adopted Feb. 19 by the County board. It'describes the process of platting subdivisions in the unin­ corporated parts of the county. It also includes the School Donation Developer regulations. The appendix contains handy reference checklists for the three-step subdivision process: sketch plan, tentative plat and final plat. Copies of the ordinance .are available at the McHenry County Planning department, Room 105 of the county courthouse, 2200 N. Seminary avenue, Wood­ stock. There is a charge for the ordinance. Rodgers-Hammerstein Musical In Rehearsal "Oklahoma", the well written musical by the famous team of Rodgers and Hammerstein, is this year's musical production by the McHenry high school Drama club. The story centers around a conflict between two men, Curly and Jud, as they seek the favor and hand of the heroine, Laurie. Amidst this triangle is the ever present battle between the farmers and cowboys, a matchmaking Aunt Eller, a Persian traveling salesman, and Ado Annie, a young girl meeting; 1 p.m. Nativity Lutheran church April 9 - American Legion Auxiliary meeting; 8 p.m. April 10 - Christ the King Ladies meeting; 7:30 p.m. April 10 • Wonder Lake • Garden Club meeting; 8 p.m. April 12 - Las Vegas Night; 8 to 11 p.m. Christ the King determined to snare a man. Such well known songs as "Oh, What A Beautiful Morning", "The Surrey With The Fringe On Top", "I Can't Say No". "People Will Say We're In Love", and the title song, "Oklahoma", will fill the auditorium. This exciting musical will be performed in the West campus auditorium April 17, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. and April 20 at 2 p.m. There will also be a special senior citizen performance the evening of April 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets may be obtained from Drama club members, the main offices at East and West campuses, at the door, or can be reserved by calling West campus Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Why is it that most people get so excited over nothing?
