Robert Lesser, R.N., has been appointed to the position of mental health coordinator, a position established by joint agreement of Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, the Family Service and Community Mental Health Center and the McHenry County 708 Mental Health board. In making the an­ nouncement, Lee Pesce, executive director of Memorial hospital, said Lesser's responsibilities will include an analysis of the need for inpatient mental health services on a county- wide basis. He will also develop goals for this type of program; if his study shows this service is needed, Lesser will help implement Dental Assistants In Recruiting Drive an inpatient mental health service for citizens of McHenry county. Before joining the staff of Memorial hospital as an assistant head nurse in the medical surgical unit, Lesser had five years of experience in mental health nursing and three years in teaching nursing. A 1969 graduate with a nursing degree from Walla Walla college in College Place, Wash., Lesser completed his work toward's a Master's degree in psychiatric nursing at Texas Woman's university at Dallas, Tex. He and his wife have three children, two sons and a daughter. Mrs. Lesser is a licensed practical nurse at Sherman hospital in Elgin. The family lives in Huntley. Janet Schultz of Wonder Lake, president of the McHenry lake Counties Dental Assistants society, is spearheading a drive to recruit new members to. the society.
