JULY 16.1S8S Fair Prevue At Museum THE MARKET BASKET A very informative day has been planned by the Huntley Harvesters at the McHenry county Historical Museum for Sunday af­ ternoon, July 20, from 1:30 to 3:30. Something for everyone is the plan. There will be a demon­ stration on getting dairy cattle ready for the McHenry County fair. The fair is to start July 30 and run through Aug. 3. Present will be the Harold Borhart family, who have been active in the fair since its start almost 30 years ago. Harold a ten-year 4-H club nfember. Mrs. Borhart (Pearl) was a 4-H queen. Linda was a recent can­ didate for Dairy Princess. Many will remember her as having shown grand champions, and, winning showmanship contest.- Sue, Steve, and Larry all farm for themselves. Judy will have some ducks and geese at Union on the twentieth. Those who want to know how to have beef animal head the list of winners should see the Kearns family show and tell what beef showmanship is all about. This family usually has 10 to 12 animals at the fair. They not only have them there-- they excel in quality and showmanship. The Kearns children will be showing how to get an animal ready Jor the fair, and also how to show it. Have you ever seen triple calves? The twentieth is the day the Ed Manke family will bring the cow and her three calves. This is a very remarkable cow. She has given birth to seven calves in less than two years.
