She was 82, born in Illinois to Joseph and Mary Wiese. • Mrs. Bayer was a past Worthy Matron of the Order Of Eastern Star. She is survived by a daughter-in-law. Louise Bayer of McHenry; three grandchildren, Ralph C. Bayer of McHenry, Amanda McKenna and Deborah Coward; and three great grandchildren. Her husband Oswald and a son Harry preceded her in death. B.P.W. Awards Scholarship The McHenry Business and Professional Women have awarded two *200 scholarships to McHenry high school graduates, Eileen Ahern and Colleen Byrne. Eileen will be attending Illinois State university majoring in Music Therapy. She was active in chorus, swing choir, stage band, S u d e n t C o u n c i l , cheerleading, pom pon girls, a n d m u s i c a l s w h i l e a t ­ tending McHenry high school. Her parents are James and Mary Ahern. Colleen will attenfi the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse, and will major in the field of Physical Education for the Han­ dicapped. She received the Kiwanis club award for outstanding scholastic a c h i e v e m e n t u p o n graduation from Junior high school, and was active in the National Honor society, Outdoor club, Ski club, In­ ternational club, field hockey, Softball and basketball. Her parents are Richard and Betty Byrne. Avis Gans, chairman of the McHenry B.P.W. Scholarship committee commended the winners on their fine achievements throughout their high school careers, and wished them s u c c e s s i n t h e i r f u t u r e studies.
