The most important thing to know when buying boat insurance is that is is not standardized. Factors affecting the kind of insurance needed include the size, type and value of the craft, the waters in which it will be used and the type and amount of coverage selected. The following information suggests some of the things that should prove helpful when purchasing boat in­ surance. The basic homeowners policy can provide coverage for boats as unscheduled personal property, but this coverage is limited. Theft and physical damage coverage for a boat, its equipment, accessories, outboard motor or trailer if it were stolen while away from the owners residence. Usually there is no coverage against windstorm or hail unless the boat is stored inside a fully-enclosed structure. Theft of personal articles is covered only if there is forced entry into a secured cabin, compartment or locker. Check with your insurance agent about these and other ways to save on boat in­ surance. 4-H NEWS JOHNSBURG WOOD CHUCKS The Johnsburg Wood- chucks, a fairly new 4-H club, received 38 ribbons at the McHenry County fair and gained one more at the Illinois State fair, to make their total 39 ribbons in all this year. The club, which will be three-years-old this coming May, has 12 members ranging from 8 to 14 years of age. The club's leaders are Kathy and Dale Woods, of Johnsburg. They organized the club because their son, Steve, wanterd to be in 4-H, but wasn't accepted by any of the other clubs. Of the 39 ribbons, 14 were A's, 14 were B's, 6 were C's, 3 were merits and one was a state ribbon which received an "A" rating. Some of the major categories entered Young Americans In Concert "I Got Rhythm" may well be the theme for the third in the series off concerts to be presented this season by C o m m u n i t y C o n c e r t s association of Crystal Lake. On Friday, March 20, the Young Americans will present a full scale musical revue, featuring the music of George Gershwin. Young, vital and talented per­ formers make up this group, under the superb direction of Milton Anderson. The Young Americans have thrilled audiences across the nation with their THE YOUNG AMERICANS many concert tours and their sparkling productions of "The Music Man", "Oklahoma!", "West Side Story", and their popular "Salute to Richard Rodgers". The Gershwin Festival will include some of America's most beloved music, from the haunting " S u m m e r t i m e " f r o m "Porgy and Bess" to "Embraceable You" and "Rhaspsody in Blue". C o m m u n i t y C o n c e r t memberships are available through Sept. 27 from almost a hundred volunteer workers in the McHenry county area. The four concerts include "Toccatas and Flourishes", a trumpet-organ duo; the Aspen Soloists, string trio; and Ranson Wilson and Nancy Allen, a flute-harp team. All concerts will take place at Crystal Lake South high school, 1200 S. McHenry avenue, Crystal Lake. There are student memberships. Seven Language Courses At MCC NEW HOSPITAL DIRECTORS Two men have been named to the board of directors of Memorial Hospital for McHenry C o u n t y a s s o c i a t i o n , replacing two directors who resigned, Farlin Caufield. president, has announced. Appointed to the board were John Lillie, Woodstock, and Clarence Sisson, Marengo. Mrs. Barbara Frost, Har­ vard, and Charles Mather, Woodstock, are the two directors who resigned. The public can learn to communicate in a new language in one of the seven adult education language courses being offered this Fall by McHenry County college. In addition to the foreign languages of German, Spanish, Portugese, Swedish and French, there are classes to learn sign language and classes in English for those whose native language is not English. There are even two language seminars in which children can learn con­ versation french or con­ versational spanish. The classes are offered at a variety of locations and times and days of the week. The English as a second language classes are free to students.
