An awards Sunday for students in the church school at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church will be held Sunday, Jan. 11, at 8:30 a.m. worship service. Students who have completed the last 13 week perfect attendance period will receive either a certificate of attendance or a pin in the school's award system. The church has maintained the award system for approximately nine years and some students have completed nine ^rears of perfect attendance. Approximately 300 students, ages 3 through 14, are currently enrolled in the church school which meets each Sundav at 9:15 At various times during the year the students provide presentations and programs for the congregation. The church school is coordinated by Supt. Kathie Behm. About 25 staff members are involved in teaching the students weekly.
