May 5, was the Friendship Ring ceremony. Chairman Jane Roewer discussed her project, a Bakeless Bake Sale, which she said was going over very well. She introduced her committee and also in­ troduced her guest speaker. Past Deputy Grand Regent Carolyn Wendlee of Har­ vard, who talked about the Academy of Friendship. Ms. Roewer also in­ troduced three new mem bers, Pat Knapik, Marilyn Comstock and Lilyann Baker. The aides were Ila Hogan, Diane Smith and Doris Schabow. There were also five new enrolees. Sue Madey, Mary Lou Barry, Shirleann Krich, Betty Rimer and Peggy Pearson The new governor, Brian Baker, welcomed the new members and requested help throughout the coming year. He expressed his hopes that there will be a lot of cooperation between the men and women for the many upcoming functions of the year.
