After calling a minimum of four times during the weekend for the cofhpany to correct the problem, the problem was never remedied. 4,I think it's time for people to form some kind of organized citizens' group to make Lakes Cable company accountable for their malfunctioning equipment. not the subscribers' fault that their equipment doesn't work properly. Where is their responsibility in this mattewr to their customers who pay a fee expecting the proper service they pay to receive? "Why is it that the con sumer doesn't receive a rebate or refund for the time the serice isn't functioning properly? The Bell Telephone system com pensates Why not the Lakes Cable company? "It seems it's time for we people in the McHenry viewing area to demand accountability! "It's time viewers petition the McHenry Chamber of Commerce or possibly the Cify, Council members to investigate this company more thoroughly. It m i At be legitimate to relinquish the company's right to do business here and time to investigate possiblities of looking into several other cable systems as the nor thwest suburban area has been doing the past year. "If a company cannot deliver what is promised, it should be reprimanded. If they are not capable of servicing the area properly, they should realize it and remove themselves. "As President Truman said, which appears to apply here, 'If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen'. "Thank you, "John W. Myers" Plan Dlnnet And Services There will be only one combined church service this Sunday, June 14, for the Greenwood-Ringwood United Methodist churches and that will be held at the campout at Chain-O-Lakes State park. The service will be held at 10 a.m., followed by a family potluck dinner at noon. If you wish, bring your own hamburgers and hot dogs to cook over the open fires. Bring table service for your family and a dish to share.
