Aug 27, at Shepherd of the Hills church. it will be conducted by Leith Honning. the new Neigh­ borhood chairman Mrs. Honning was a Girl Scout in Chicago in the forties and returned to Girl Scouting in McHenry with each of her three daughters. She has been active as a Committee Mother. Junior leader, Day Camp chair­ man. Nickel day chairman and Cadette leader, and willingly offered her ser­ vices to help on many other occasions. CHICKEN BREASTS EXOTICA 5 or 6 chicken breasts V* cup honey Vt cup butter v, cup orange Juice 6 California Dried Flgs, halved Cooked rice Salt and pepper 1 teaspoon cinnamon V4 teaspoon curry powder y4 teaspoon garlic salt In large skillet, brown chicken breasts in butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir in mixture of cinnamon, curry, garlic salt, honey and orange Juice. Arrange dried flgs in pan with chicken. Cover skillet; simmer about 30 minutes or until tender. Serve over rice. Makes 5 or 6 servings. It included performances by the following local teachers: Hazel piano, three etude Jelobinsky, entitled "Tocatta", "Nocturne", and "Waltz"; cellist, Aliene Drew, violinists, Elizabeth Larson and Trudy Larson; and pianist, Diane Koenig, two pieces for trio with piano accompaniment the "Allegro" from a Ha Sonata in G minor and [the first "Bagatelle" in| a collection by Dvorak. Bake at 350 degrees until well browned. Onion Casserole 6 or 8 average size white onions 1 generous cup grated Velveeta cheese 1 c crushed potato chips few dots of butter Peel and slice onions. Drop into pan of unsalted water and boil until fork tender, about S minutes; drain. In greased baking dish, place 1 layer of onions, sprinkle with Vi of the cheese and Vt of the potato chip crumbs. Dot with butter sparingly. Use remaining in­ gredients in same order for second layer. Sprinkle with black pepper and paprika. Bake in 350 dgreee oven, 25 to 30 minutes.
