Crown New Dairy Princess Heinrich, 18, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Heinrich, is the new McHenry County Dairy, Princess! The 5-foot. 8-inch University of Illinois sophomore, who is majoring in home economics, was announced as winner of the Dairy Princess crown to close the Dairy Banquet Tuesday night and climax a month of dairy promotional activity by Miss Heinrich and the four other contestants. The new princess is a 1980 Crystal Lake Central high school graduate and has extensive experience in dairy promotion and working with dairy products. A veteran 4-H member, she has taken virtually all the food projects and was a food demonstrations winner three years. She represented McHenry county at the state fair as a food demonstrations delegate one year. Last year she won the McHenry County Dairy Promotion award for the demonstration that featured dairy products best Hor 4-H career of project achievement, leadership and record keeping earned recognition as a delegate to the National 4-H Club Congress last year, the highest award 4-H members can earn. Through the years she has helped on the family's 500- aCre, 62-cow dairy farm, helping , with the young livestock, milking cows on occasion and working in the field when needed. A n a c c o m p l i s h e d musician, she began playing the organ nine years ago. She was in high school musicals and choral presentations and as a freshman at the University of Illinois served as a member and the president of the Illini Women's chorus. She took voice lessons at Illinois and has been accepted as a member of the prestigious University of Illinois Women's Glee dub this fall. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Adams were also recognized fonheir work in behalf of dairy promotion through the years by being named recipient of the DPC award, an award given sparingly over the years to recognize outstanding effort in behalf of the dairy industry. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Barbara Davidson of Chicago. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Donna Barwig of Houston, Tex.; the groom's sister, Kathleen Murphy of San Diego; and Maureen Pazier of Melrose Park, 111., a friend of the bride. Attendants were attired in lilac poly knit, floor length gowns, styled with a draped bodice, enhanced with a chiffon cape. The duties of best man were handled by the groom's brother, Michael Murhpy of San Diego. Groomsmen were brothers of the bride, Kenneth Shannon of Crystal Lake, William Barwig of Lake Bluff, 111. and Michael Shannon of McHenry. The mother of the bride chose a lilac chiffon gown with pleated skirt and double cape. A pale blue poly knit gown with beaded scoop neckline was the choice erf the groom's mother. Following a garden reception for 150 guests, at the home of the bride's parents, the newly weds chose to visit friends and relatives in Illinois and Wisconsin and then tour the states of Colorado and Utah. Out-of-town guests were from California, Texas. Wisconsin, New Mexico and Canada. The new Mrs. Munjhy, a aduate of Marian Central itholic high school, Triton College of Nursing and the University of California, San Diego, is a registered paramedic radio nurse. Her husband graduated from Patrick Henry high school; attended Miramar college and the University of California, San Diego and is a firefighter-paramedic. The rehearaal dinner was hosted by the bride's godparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mc Andrews of McHenry. The bride was honored at showers in San Diego and Chicago. Couple Married In St. Charles June 27 Baker Memorial church, St. Charles, 111. was the setting for the June 27 exchange of wedding vows between the former Susan Elizabeth Groe and Robert N. Beck, Jr. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Groe, 516 E. Willow avenue, Wheaton, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Beck, Sr., 901 Rolling lane, McHenry, are the parents of the groom. Dr. Matthews officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, before an altar decorated with ints and flowers, music performed by friends, Wendy Bicchenella and Chris Keil, included "One Hand, One Heart" and "Wedding Song". The bride wore a long, 'white georgette dress which she had made herself. It was fashioned with lace sleeves; lace trimmed the hemline of the skirt and also matched the train. Her fingertip veil, edged with lace, was capped with tiny flowers across the crown. She carried a bouquet of silk flowers which she had created. The maid of honor was Janci Nitz, formerly <of Wheaton, currently residing in Rhode Island; Lynette Groe of Wheaton; Renee Beck of McHenry; Geri Ann Fratello of Rockford; and Linda Ringblom of Wheaton. Attendants were attired in floor length, rose colored desses, complimented with a sheer rose print cape; all creations of the bridesmaids and the bride. A single tea rosebud graced withbaby's breath adorned thttf hair and their bouquets were comprised of flowers made by the bride. Richard Beck of McHenry served as best man. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Colorado, the newlyweds will live in Batavia, 111. The bride graduated from Northern Illinois university and is a computer operator in Wheaton.
