For many months the women, also the business men of this city, have been pestered with solicitors, agents and beggars selling everything from a hairpin to a swindle scheme of magazine sub­ scriptions. According to the ordinance the agents and solicitors must obtain a permit from Marshal Walsh, countersigned by Mayor Knox, and when a stranger appears at your door do not hesitate to ask to see their permit, und if they have none, they should be reported at once.
