Wab Producer Glen Larson's first venture for 20th Cen­ tury Fox/ABC looks like a big winner. He's meshed the rugged talents of Lee Majors with an action-packed script that's laced with death-defying stunts, gorgeous women and cameo appearances by some of Lee's superstar friends. The "Fall Guy" is a buzz­ word for Colt Seavers' (Ma­ jors) profession--Hollywood stuntman. He's the one who eats dust so Burt Reynolds can get all the glory--which the rousing theme song alludes to in the opening credits. Seavers is assisted by a foxy blonde apprentice named Jody (Heather Thomas) and a bumbling relative called Howie (Doug Barr). Problem is, Colt just isn't making the big bucks Lee Majors as a fall guy, so he moonlights as a bounty hunter. Some aspects of the "Fall Guy" resemble an earlier Larson effort--"Sheriff Lobo." But in this case, Majors relies on his good looks and quick wit to weave his way in and out of trouble--with maximum emphasis on hair- raising escapes. This is Lee's best work since his "Six Million Dollar Man" days, and if Glen's scripts pack as much wallop as the opener, then the "Fall Guy" is bound to be a runaway hit.
