Diane Berlin Observes 102 Years Mary K. Schmitt, 102 years old, was born Nov. 8, 1879, the oldest of eight children. She is the sister of Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Freund, the youngest of the family. From her present residence on Middle street, she can see the site where she was born - where Crescent Bay Landing stands today. She taught on German Prairie and at Spring Grove schools.
