REINHOLD(PAT) ULLRICH Friends have received word of the death Wed­ nesday, March 10, of Reinhold G. (Pat) Ullrich of McHenry while wintering in Alamo, Tex. Announcement was made that evening in Zion Lutheran church but at press time, arrangements were still incomplete at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, where in­ formation will be available sometime Saturday. CLYDE BLACKWELL Clyde B. Blackwell of Lakeland Park, McHenry, died Wednesday, March 10, at the Veterans hospital, Downey, 111. He was 91 years old, born in Davie county, N. C., April 19, 1890, the son of Eugene and Emily (Black- well) Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell lived in McHenry about 18 years, having come from Des Plaines, 111.; was well-known as a puppeteer and had entertained at many children's functions in the area. He was a retired photographic engineer in the motion picture industry; belonged to the Veterans of WWI McHenry Barracks 1315 and the American Legion Des Plaines Post No. 36. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma (Myers), May 13, 1973. Survivors include two sons, Dale B. of Albertson, N.Y. and Sterling E. of Bethel Island, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, by Pastor Thomas Lowery of the First United Methodist church, McHenry, 10 a.m. Saturday arid burial will be in Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights, III. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. FRANK PLANK Frank Plank, 88, 1304 W. Oeffling, McHenry, died Tuesday morning, March 9, in his residence. He was born Nov. 20, 1893, in Rohrbach, Austria, to Franz and Rose (Oswald) Plank. Formerly of the near north side of Chicago, Mr. Plank was a resident of McHenry 19 years; had been employed as a photo engraver 27 years, for the Jahn and Oilier Co. of Chicago; belonged to the G e g e n s e i t i g e r U n - terstuetzungs Verein of Chicago and the Whispering Hills Home Owners association. On Jan. 3,1915, in Chicago, he married the former Cecilia Pravudowits, who survived Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Kilbourne of East Lansing, Mich.; two sons, Frank J. of Chicago and John of Downers Grove; six grandchildren; and 13 great­ grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Leo, Nov. 1, 1972. A Funeral Mass was conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Johnsburg, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to9 p.m. Wednesday, at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home. DOROTHY BENES Dorothy Ruth Benes of Peoria, Ariz., formerly of Wonder Lake, died Monday, March 8, in Phoenix, Ariz. She was 78 years old, born in Fairbault, Minn, Nov. 28, 1903, the daughter of Ray and Maud (Harrison) Kinsey. Mrs. Benes moved to Arizona from Wonder Lake in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, Sept. 9, 1968. Surviving are a son, Richard Harrison of Seattle, Wash.; a daughter, Shirley Rapp of Phoenix; two grandsons, Stephen and Gary Rapp; step-parents, Fred and Agnes Bienapfl of McHenry; and a niece, Cheryl Burden of Crystal Lake. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, with the Rev. Stanley Key of Fox River Grove officiating; and burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, 111. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, from 11 a.m. to the time of the service.
