This season's six programs will include people prominent m the worlds of art, music, fashion, opera and literature - "People who make things happen," according to Association president, Darlene Fiske and Val Gitlin, chairperson of the series. The Oct. 21 opening, called "The Tiffany Touch," will feature Keith Stocker, divisional .vice-president of Chicago's Tiffany & Co. His subject will be jewels, their settings, silverware and investing in diamonds. Table settings will be on display. "Richard Hunt: Monumental Sculpture" will be the Nov. 18 offering. Hunt, a Chicagoan whose work is internationally recognized, is considered to be at the frontier of contemporary metal sculpture. He will present many of his creations with slides and discussion. Miniatures of some of his completed and ] work will be on display in House gallery. Paul Roche, noted poet, translator and scholar, will appear Jan. 20 to read and discuss his current work in a program titled "As Far As I Can See." Born in India, educated in England and Rome, he is a frequent broadcaster on the BBC and CBS and a contributor to Harper's Bazaar, New Yorker, Saturday Review and others. "An Evening With Gilbert and Sullivan," Feb. 17 at 8 p.m., will star an Evans ton based group called Light Opera Works, a new professional opera company directed by Philip A. Kraus. There will be selections from such timeless favorites as H.M.S. Pinafore, The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance and The Goldoliers. This is the only program scheduled as an evening performance. "Backstage at the Lyric opera," March 17, will feature Ardis Krainik, general manager of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, one of the country's top grand opera companies. Ms. Krainik will tell about the coming season, the Lyric's exciting history, the stars who have performed there and her own experiences as an opera general manager. Terri D'Ancona, owner of the recently opened Dance center in Chicago, one of many in this country and Europe, will present "Fitness and Fashion," as the -closing program, April 21. Her dance center combines an exercise studio and specialty clothing store. An accomplished model and interior designer herself, Mrs. D'Ancona's presentation will include a fashion show featuring some of Chicago's leading models.
