Hie dress of ivory satin featured a scalloped neckline, bodice of Alencon lace with a fitted waist and straight sleeves. The hoop skirt of satin and lace swept into a chapel length train. Her veil of ivory Alencon lace was secured toa Camelot headpiece with a fingertip vol and blusher. To complete the look she carried a graceful cascade of hybrid white lilies, stephanotis, ivy and Boston fan. The bride, the daughter of Robert and Maria Tonyan of McHenry, exchanged promises of marriage Oct 9, with Michael McBride, son of Donald and Margo McBride of Crystal Father Joseph Kulak officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony before an altar flanked on either side by candelabra bedecked with Fall flowers, wheat sprays, oak leaves, greenery and rust color ribbons The setting was further enhanced with two large arrangements on either side of the back altar, in Fall tone colors complementing the bridesmaids' decor; and eggshell ribbon bows gracing the ends of the pews. Background music on the organ and guitar, by Celeste Mann, included the processional, "Wedding Prelude No. 7"; lighting of the candle, "Love One Another"; offertory, "Longer Than"; communion, "Prayer of St. Francis"; bouquet offering. Bridesmaids were Mary Schneider of Houston, Tex., Moira Haley of McHenry, Patricia Emmerich of Antioch, III. and the bride's sister, Amy Tonyan of McHenry. -- Attendants were attired in rust taffeta skirts, which had been sewn by the groom's mother, assisted by the mother of the bride. They were highlighted with a flounce at the hemline. Completing the ensemble was an ivory crepe de chine bodice, styled with long sleeves and ruffles; arid a sash encircling the waist. Junior bridesmaids were sisters of the bride and groom, Jenny Tonyan of McHenry and Kerry McBride of Crystal Lake. They wore floor length rust taffeta dresses, also made by the groom's mother, fashioned with a square neckline, three-quarter length puff sleeves and three-tiered skirt, accented with a sash at the waist. The maid of honor carried a cascasde of burnt orange, yellow and apricot gerberas, entwined with ivy foliage and pheasant feathers. The bridesmaids' bouquets woe similarly designed with the ommision of yellow gerberas ; and the junior bridesmaids' were a smaller version of the bridesmaids'. The best man was Kirk Hesemann of McHenry. Groomsmen were Greg Schneider of Houston, Tex., Wayne Moran of McHenry, John Ramberg of Fox Lake, 111. and the bride's brother, Robert Tonyan of McHenry. Ushers were cousins of the bride, Chuck Tonyan, Jr. and Gary Tonyan. The groomsmen wore brown tuxedos and the groom was in brown tails. The mother of the bride chose a floor length gown featuring a full, taffeta skirt in taupe, with a V-neck bodice of ivory crepe and matching jacket. A Victorian style, floor length gown in honey color sift, with V-shape lace insert on the bodice and lace trim on the collar and cuffs, was the choice of the groom's mother. Approximately 200 guests toasted the newlyweds at a reception held at Hunter Country club, Richmond, 111. The wedding cake was specially made and decorated by Glen Peterson. Upon their return from a honeymoon in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, the couple will reside ' on Chapel Hill road, Johnsburg. The new Mrs. McBride graduated from Marian Central high school in 1979; attended Robert Morris cnljege; and was employed in the secfttftrial field. Her husband, a 1979 graduate of Johnsburg high school; attended Wyoming Technical Institute and is employed by R. D. Hahn & Sons, Inc. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Kris toff's Circus, McHenry. Assists Parents The "Psychological Development of the Child" will be the topic erf a lecture given by Phil and Lisa Hartles on Oct. 19, at 7 p.m., at the Crystal Lake Ambutal. Beginning with the pre­ natal state and going through adolescence, the emotional and developmental stages will be covered. A question and answer period will follow. The Hartles are counseling psychotherapists who have practiced in this area for five years, and their educational background is at the Master's level in psychology and counseling. This lecture is sponsored by the Childbirth and Parenting Association of McHenry county; an organization which strives to promote educated childbirth and parenting; and offers a wide variety of services and programs to benefit parents and children of the area.
