The bride is the former Katharine Ann Mack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Mack, Jr. of Cary, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Huemann of Johnsburg, McHenry, are the parents of the bridegroom. Father Andrew Pleasa presided at the 3 p.m. exchange of wedding vows in Sts. Peter and Paul church, Cary, on Aug. 14. Following the nuptials, 250-300 guests attended a reception at the Johnsburg Community club. The bride graduated from Cary-Grove high school in 1978; and received a B.S. in Physical Education from Southern Illinois university in 1962. The groom graduated from Marian Central high school in 1978; attended McHenry County college two and a half years and is presently employed by Huemann Water Management, Inc., Johnsburg. The couple was married Saturday, Oct. 23, at the First United Methodist church, Crystal Lake, at 4 p.m. by Rev. Wykle and Rev. Carlson. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Spengel of McHenry are parents of the bride and the parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Rossman of Crystal Lake. Church decorations included a cascade of flowers on the piano and an altar arrangement of burgundy and white flowers. Hie brother of the bride, Craig Spengel, sang the "Wedding Song", "Whereever You Go" and the "Prayer of Saint Fran­ cis." The bride's dress was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, lace bodice, full sleeves of lace and chiffon, flowing chiffon train trimmed in crystal pleated chiffon and lace. The scalloped fingertip veil was held in place by a lace and pearl headpiece. Father Donald Walczak performed the noon ceremony at St. Adalbert's Catholic church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nellessen of Rosholt and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs! Julian Melum of Amherst Junction, Wis. The bride's white satin gown complemented by a beaded pearl bodice was enhanced by a a veil with blusher, and a 10 foot train. Satin slippers completed the ensemble. The maid of honor, Jacci Nellessen of Rosholt wore a light purple gown trimmed with white lace. She wore a matching wreath of flowers in her hair. The mother of the bride chose a long, deep purple dress similar to that of the attendants. The groom's mother also wore a long dress, choosing light purple to blend with the others.
